A response to the idea that specific revisions cannot be made to AI art
This post is a response to this thread:

If you hire an artist for a project and they deliver something you're suspicious of, all you need to do is ask for specific revisions.
An actual artist can do revisions with no problem. An AI prompter will spazz out.
This is incorrect.
I have broken this out into its own post since multiple images cannot be embedded in a reply, and I think it looks nicer/gets the point across better illustrated this way rather than requiring clickable links.
Most people already know about inpainting and understand that revisions can be made to AI art, but for the sake of those who do not, this sort of work is trivial. This was done in a few minutes on locally hosted Juggernaut XL on my own computer.
Commissioner: "I need a pic of a cowboy standing in a clearing in front of a forest."
Artist: "Ok, here you go:"
Commissioner: "That's a decent start. I don't like that little tree next to him on the right, can you remove it?"
Artist: "Sure! Here are 6 options, pick the one you like best:"
Commissioner: "Can you make his hat bright red?"
Artist: "Yes, here are some options. I used a low denoise to try to keep the hat looking mostly the same, which means it didn't always come out red, as you can see. But we can run this a dozen times, a hundred times if you like. There are also some weird artifacts around the edges of the hat, but don't worry about that, it'll come out in the wash when we upscale. Or if you like, I could also just apply a red overlay in Photoshop."
Commissioner: "I don't like those weird fancy white lines on his vest, can you get rid of them?"
Artist: "Alright. Again you can see there are some slight artifacts, but they'll get smoothed out in the upscale."
Commissioner: "You know what, I changed my mind a little on the forest, it's a bit boring. Can you make the left side of the background a lake that he's standing in front of?"
Artist: "Yeah, here are some options:"
Commissioner: "I really like the gradient colors on the top middle one, can you upscale that one?"
Artist: "Ok, here it is. It doesn't have to be final if you don't want it to be, we can keep making further edits, His belt buckle looks kind of weird, we could fix that, or maybe you don't like the extra button at the bottom of his vest. Just let me know, it only takes a few seconds."
I hope this example has been illustrative of what's possible with AI. Far from perfect, but it only took a few minutes. A skilled AI artist could spend hours going through various models, LoRAs, and other options to fully customize this any way you like.
