Round 2: Make Jackie Thrive

This is my second Jacklyn and honestly my dream plant. I’m not new to plants, I have about 55-70 at any given time. Including 5 other alocasias who are very happy and doing well. However, my last Jacklyn caught mites rapidly and then developed severe and sudden root rot that didn’t respond to peroxide or attempts to save so I had to toss. I got this one for 7$ today after promising my husband no more of them, and it appears healthier right out the gate. This is in very dense potting soil with perlite that was leaking all over my clothes as they flooded her at the hardware store. I use Mollys Aroid Mix and will repot asap but please send me your best tips to get this lady to the finish line and lasting longer than two months !
