ACOGs - how much does the eyes relief suck?

I'm not looking to get an ACOG anytime soon - just got a PA SLX 1-6 on my rifle with the mount for a piggyback 403r on the way - but I like the look and moreover the durability of ACOGs.

The one big thing holding me back, aside from price, is the purported eye relief. For any ACOG owners out there:

• How bad is the eye relief?

• Are there any models that have better eye relief and still maintain 4x magnification?

• Is getting an ACOG/RMR stack worth it over a LPVO/dot stack?

EDIT: Too many comments to individually reply, but thank y'all so much for the info and advice. I'm going to take a look through some ACOGs at my local gun shop next time I go in. Likely not gonna get one yet, but in the future when I want an optic upgrade it's high on the list.
