Where are the women that shave their faces?

I (51) have always had a hairy face. It’s that peach fuzz kind of hair but there’s A LOT of it. Been shaving the ‘stache for a while, but considering shaving the whole face. Of course growing up, I was told of the horrible things that happen when women shave their faces…..it grows back darker, thicker, faster, blah blah. If you shave, what has been your experience with it?
