Is the Toyota Celica a decent first car?

I’m 16, and currently ride a motorcycle. It’s my only vehicle so I’m gonna need something for college. Old Celicas aren’t too expensive, and they don’t seem like horrible modding platforms but I don’t see them talked about much at all. What cons am I missing that make them less popular?
