Fish bone stuck between teeth but dentist couldn't find anything

Hi all,

While eating a fish dish I suddenly felt a bit of bone get lodged between my teeth. We spent ages trying to get it out (and may have potentially gotten it more deeply stuck as a result).

For a while, maybe the whole time, I couldn't feel the bone itself with my tongue or fingers, but could mainly feel a bit of pressure between those two teeth. I went to see a dentist who examined the area and said he couldn't find anything, so either there's nothing there or it's tiny enough that my body will expel it within a couple days.

I just wanted to get some second opinions. Is it feasible that the pressure between my teeth was just gum trauma from the initial bone poking into the gum then subsequently flossing/brushing/picking at the area for a long time? If doing all of that had actually pushed the bone further up (into the gum maybe) would the dentist have definitely been able to tell? Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks guys
