What do you do when your straight friends make bad gay jokes ?? [Family/Friends]

Okkk I know that it’s not only me whose straight friends make awfully bad gay jokes. I mean how are you supposed to answer to these things ?

My roommate is a straight man and stay with me. We talk about all sorts of things our relationships and life. But then he also makes sometimes gay jokes which I find disrespectful or mean.

Another flatmate of us sent me this video as a banter. The video had a straightener straightening up a pride flag. ANd in font it said straightening up the community. Like bitch 🤷‍♂️what am I supposed to say? Although I didn’t find it that offensive tbh.

But if they are consistent with bad gay jokes I get really infuriated and irritated.

I live with them. It comes to the point where I start thinking about every person I meet whether they’d accept me or not.
