Gaslamp Business Trip

Hello, San Diego locals!

I’m heading to your sunny shores this weekend for work and to soak up some much-needed Vitamin D—something we’re seriously lacking in the UK! I’ll be staying in the Gaslamp Quarter without a car, so I’m planning to rely on walking, the metro, or short Uber trips to get around.

I’d love some recommendations for Saturday night and Sunday!

Saturday Night:
I’m looking for a place where I can enjoy a couple of beers and blend in without feeling out of place. A spot with a great vibe and some live music or a good playlist would be perfect—I’m not looking to end up as the awkward guy in the corner! Any suggestions for places that have a friendly, relaxed crowd?

Sunday:
I’m toying with a couple of ideas but could use some advice:

• The Rodeo: I’ve never been to one before, so I’m curious—what’s it like? Would it be enjoyable solo, or is it better with a group?
• SeaWorld: I do love a good roller coaster, so this could be fun. But I’m open to other ideas too—maybe something unique to San Diego?

If anyone’s free and would like to show me around, I’d be more than happy for a local guide! Looking forward to hearing your recommendations.
