Bad audio quality in newer games?

Why do the newer games have such compressed audio and bad mixing? More so Valhalla and Odyssey than Origins but it's so bad at times when in certain environments or indoors. Valhalla main character audio quality sound so absurdly mixed and low quality. It's not the actors themselves but their mics possibly? Like, I've heard better audio lines from Skyrim mods lol.
