Goodbye Downtown Carpark - thoughts

So last Saturday had an awesome day out with my youngest son.

We drove and parked in the downtown carpark building, caught the ferry to Devonport, went fishing at Torpedo bay, checked out the naval museum. Paid $10 for parking and home again.

I also park here for meetings in the city.

So what happens with the removal of 1944 parking spaces? Personally I think this is incredibly short sighted.

Full disclosure I’m an architect (so yeh cool building), occasional cyclist and public transport supporter (in-frequent user).
