My Experience at Monash Health Hospital Emergency Ward
Yesterday, I accompanied my friend to the emergency ward at Monash Health Hospital in Melbourne after they sustained serious injuries from a scooter fall. Despite the urgency of the situation, we waited for three hours in the emergency ward without being attended to.
The hospital staff informed us that the wait would extend even further due to a long waiting list. Unfortunately, we had no choice but to leave the hospital and book a GP appointment for the next day at 11 AM. This meant my friend had to remain untreated for an extended period, which was deeply concerning given the severity of the injuries.
This experience has raised serious questions about the efficiency and accessibility of emergency care in such critical situations. I hope this issue gets the attention it deserves to ensure better healthcare services for everyone in need.
