Oman conflicting stories - who was with Tim ?

Sorry to bring this up - since the Netflix doc. I’ve some many conflicting posts, all this come up in Sean Ericksson insta.

Did Tim travel alone ? Sean insta alludes to that Jesse W change his mind last minute and Tim was left to travel alone ? And also Did Tim call Klas before his death ? I recall reading about that somewhere
