Lyricism in Nowhere Man
I noticed some very interesting lyrical work in Nowhere Man. I knew there was a strong autobiographical nature of the song, but today I really noticed one verse specifically. John sings "Doesn't have a point of view, knows not where he's going to" and then intentionally avoids the rhyme to emphasize the word "me" with "Isn't he a bit like you and me?"
I just found it so interesting that he so deliberately avoided the rhyme to emphasize the word "me."
