SumUp not honouring referral, even though standard terms and conditions were followed.

I’ve just had an email saying this:

“We have identified that you have misused our Refer-a-Friend program by making transactions solely to receive the promotion, rather than as part of a genuine registration.”

Stating this get out of jail free card: “We have the right to suspend, terminate or change these Terms and Conditions at our sole discretion and without prior notice.”

Well the joke is on them, as my business account is worth half a million a year to them, with more sites opening this year. I’m closing it today out of principle, and moving to TakePayments.
