What is your #1 piece of advice/wisdom for new parents?

My best friend is expecting her first baby in June. I had my daughter in August, and our other best friend had her son in October. We want to collect some nuggets of wisdom for her outside of our own experiences. So…what’s your number one piece of advice/wisdom for new parents?

Mine is: If you want to get out of the house, the best time to do it is when the baby is 6-8 weeks old. At this time, they’re usually a portable sleepy potato.
