Long term IUD positive stories

I’ve been researching for a long time, I’m scared of birth control side effects but more scared of reproductive laws and am getting tired of condoms. I’m pretty set on wanting an IUD, but I’ve heard so many negative things and seen way more people removing them before they expire. Anyone here who’s kept their IUD long term and doesn’t have terrible side effects?
