Is Ludwig the only character we see regain their mental clarity post beast transformation?

Title I haven't encountered every single boss or every npc so there might be more but I thought it was kind of odd. He is basically a wild animal in the first phase but in the second and after chopping off his head he is clearly back to atleast some form of sanity. The player character can also become a beast while keeping their sanity with the beast form from that rune.
