Inis: How to finish the game and geis/druid
So we played Inis yesterday for the first time. We loved the gameplay! The tension, the uncertainty what others are plotting or what they are able to do and setting up your own plays is very satisfying.
However we didn’t really know how one should end the game. One thing that was kind of annoying was the geis combined with the druid. This essentially led to the fact that a player could ban other player's actions twice per round, meaning building settlements was very hard. We didn't even have enough settlements for the win condition after over 90 minutes.
After ca. 60-90 minutes our game looked like this:
Nobody is even close to winning. Are we doing something wrong? Also, there were only 2 of those awards distributed in the whole game (the ones you get through the bard) but there are so many of them in the box. We enjoyed the game a lot but I thought it could have been a bit shorter.
Would love to play it again soon but I read average playtime is around 1 hour if not even less. So I think there's room for optimization. Any tips?
