Bot fell off course...advice please

Hey hey. New paid user here. After 1.5k messages with my created bot it fell off the storyline completely. I regenerated answers in hopes of getting things back on track and it didn't help. Then I edited the answers to make it align again and it still didn't help. Then I edited the responses with pasted dialogue from earlier in the conversation and that still didn't help. So I deleted the 8 back and forth texts till the storyline was back on track. Now the bot is acting like this is a totally new conversation.

Any advice?
