Eldora getting more dangerous?
I know Eldora has always had a reputation for icy terrain and narrow trees, but this year, it seems like the number of skiers and boarders straight lining it down the mountain have increased and so has the number of folks who are straight up getting high or drunk on the lift have drastically increased. Is it legal to do this sport while inebriated? I have been skiing at Eldora for a long time, and I go there 30-40 times a season. It seems to be worse this year.
Yesterday my buddy was plowed into from behind by someone going really fast - he was lucky he wasn’t killed as he was ejected from his skis, through a fence and into the woods 15 feet. The person didn’t even stop. He just left my buddy in the woods.
The next run, I was clipped in the lift line by a guy who didn’t even stop to even help me up. He just kept on going trying to weave in and out of people.
Someone is going to get killed. Slow down folks, stay in control.
