Liquid calcium for laying budgie?
My budgie is currently laying eggs (she's up to 4!) and someone suggested liquid calcium while she is laying.
The problem is I'm not sure which one to use, or how to correctly give it alongside her current supplements. Can anyone advise please?
She gets budgie seed mixed with about 1/10 conditioning seed.
She gets avimix on her seed daily.
She gets liquid iodine in her water roughly once per week.
She has a cuttlefish that she appears to be using.
No chop, she won't eat it.
I've tried to work out if it's actually okay to give avimix and liquid calcium at the same time, since avimix is high in calcium anyway, but can't work it out.
Also, I've removed the eggs and replaced with dummy eggs. There is nothing in the cage that has changed that might be encouraging her to lay. She is laying directly onto the floor of the cage as you can see. I've used easichick her whole life and she only started laying about 6 months ago at the age of 5. She gets covered for about 12 hours a night.
