Are Vampires strong compared to other buffy monsters?

I’ve started watching Angel (first season still) and I see Angel kicking other demons asses.

In Buffy, I get that they have supernatural strength, but sometimes Buffy beats them with little to no effort. Even Joyce takes out Spike in season 2.

So I guess my question is, on a monster tier list, with the fear demon from ‘Fear Itself’ probably being the easiest to defeat, and maybe Glory or Dark Willow being to hardest to defeat, where do vampires as a species rank?

Not including Ubervamps btw
