Buffy verse , rewatching Buffy as an adult makes me view the story so different , and my least favorite character is simply Xander ….

The one problem I have with Buffy compared to the show angel is we really don’t see characters truly develop as individuals or their relationships change that much in Buffy as compared to angel , making the show kind of drag at times , sure characters have arcs like willow and Buffy , but the characters in angel grow so much more, the biggest example imo being Xander 

 Xander is supposed to be insufferable in s1 and 2 , he’s a teenager , forgivable , but imo his character doesn’t really grow , his main issue is he is obsessed w Buffy in a selfish way , and hates angel out of petty jealousy despite whatever true reasons he has. Even Giles forgives angel and angelus killed his lover 

He moves on from Buffy , but he never stops being creepy , being sexual all the time to everyone, always making uncomfortable jokes Buffy and willow just ignore , and the women that do like him he treats like crap , he acts like a d bag towards Anya most of the time.

But my main gripe is he is just annoying , he’s the character that pretty much hates everyone outside of the group , being condescending towards anyone he thinks he has a moral high ground over , I understand someone has to hate the more evil characters but it’s always Xander because he’s just petty and looks for any reason to look down on the “bad” characters

His constant yapping at spike about how he deserves to die all the time just gets old , not even Giles cares that much , he chooses a new character to hate and have petty jealousy towards every season. I really see no reason he would stick around as their friend besides the fact he’s pretty much a joss whedon self insert , who joss himself is creepy and sexualizes every woman you can look it up if you don’t believe me.

Xander just kind of sucks and is mostly just annoying , his face and weird sideways mouth even begin to frustrate me
