Why does no one care about the 7950X3D?

Everyone says the 7800x3d is the highest ranked gaming CPU, but the 7950X3D seems designed to beat it in every way? I understand it's not necessary, but if someone comes in with a 6000 dollar budget why does the Ryzen 7 beat it? Does it get too hot? Use too much power? Does it have too many cores?
