New build for Gaming, Video, and Rendering
Thanks for helping out! Looking for a new build PC to replace my gaming laptop (wooo!) but I'd like to narrow down the things I should be looking at that can fulfill the things I want it to do.
- New build or upgrade?
New and first one
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
I'd like it to be compatible with my Huion GT191 drawing monitor (it's old but it works)

19.5" IPS Display
1920 x 1080 Full HD Resolution
- PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
Casual gaming but I'd like to run Baldur's Gate 3 and Elden Ring well. I also do 4k video editing/compositing on DaVinci Resolve and i'd at least like to have proxy media generate fairly quick rather than a few hours. Lastly, I'll be getting into using Blender for photography and will most likely use this PC for that. I understand this is quite a lot of demands for the budget.
- Purchase country? Near Micro Center?
The Netherlands but physical stores in Belgium are easily accessible as well.
- Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
1 fairly nice monitor that doesn't need much color calibration out of the box is preferred as my video editing does include grading.
- Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
€1000-1500 (give or take €100 or so)
- WiFi or wired connection?
Both.
- Size/noise constraints?
A case that offers room for improvement but not super large preferably. Additionally, i'd like reduced noise fans/cooling.
- Color/lighting preferences?
White, brown (#9e806f), and green (#77a178)
- Any other specific needs?
I like the idea of having a window on the case and i don't care too much about lights but they are nice
I've been interested in the AMD CPUs more than Intel recently but I'm open to either as this is all very new to me. :)
