what was the point of piper being an aphrodite kid? [hoo]

i havent fully read tlh / hoo so please lmk if i’m missing something but genuinely what was the point of piper being an aphrodite kid if rr was gonna write her like that?

it would have been nice to see a mc aphrodite kid who liked being pretty and feminine and flamboyant who didn’t shame cabin 10 for. literally breathing. like their whole shtick is that they like makeup and perfume and etc. etc and we get the whole pjoverse of people shaming them for honoring their mother’s domain - so the one time we get an mc cabin 10 kid it’s still fuck cabin 10?? 😭😭😭

ofc cabin 10 have their flaws! but i think it’s ridiculous that they’re ridiculed sooo much by both the writers and the characters at camp. i know it’s a product of the time but it frustrates me to no end
