I think my cat is telling me something

I recently started adding some wet food with her dry food because she hasn’t been eating her dry food much on its own. I mixed them with some warm water to make it broth-y and easier to digest. However my cat is doing this, how can I tell if she thinks it smells like shit or if this is just the behavior to keep the scent hidden from predators? 😂
