econ major t20 !
mixed male junior - econ major for t20
- after next year: 11 AP's, 2-3 DE, 2 Self study (my school doesn't have macro micro)
- every other course honours + never taken a study hall. UW: 4.0 W: idk
- band since elementary (unfortunately didn't take serious, 0 awards)
- 35 ACT (weak subscore) i might retake/superscore for a 36
- class rank: i dont know ill probably be top 10% after this year
ecs (very lacking) (also my awards are in this section)
- swim 4 yrs, (hs team + club), will be co-captain of HS next year
- co-founder + captain of Vars debate team (we will hopefully qual nationals next month)
- governor school this summer (might put it as an award)
- little bit of volunteering (15h at an organization taught kids to swim)
- lifeguard job (i don't work much but ig i could always cap)
- chess club co pres (we've won a local tourney)
stuff I'm working on right now for EC's:
- passion project being worked on (econ related, won't share specifics but its definitely unique and will be a bit of a surprise to an admissions officer)
- possibly research at local uni or maybee my own research not sure yet (will be difficult bc of gov school this summer so i might have to do it w/o a prof)
- hopefully internship (will be difficult bc of gov school this summer, maybe weekends?)
- found a tutoring org for community service
- possibly form a business
- econ competition (im captain for it)
im mainly looking for some advice on my ec's bc ik theyre pretty bad. i didn't start trying until this year. on the ec's im working on, where should my focus be? (whats gonna give me the best shot at a school like Duke or uchicago)
