Did the big YEET yesterday!
Hubs and I do not want children, at all. He has surgery trauma, and so snipping was not an option. So, yesterday, just after High Noon, my Fallopian tubes were removed. And I could not be happier about it!
Aside from not wanting kids, if I am ever sexually assaulted (again - I was molested as a child, and then was assaulted in college) I now cannot get pregnant. An STI can be cured, but in many places in the US an unwanted pregnancy cannot be.
The state I am in still allows abortion in some places within a certain timeframe, but I’d rather not throw those dice. And frankly, I’m sick and tired of hormonal birth control.
So, last year we made the plan, set the appointment in September for January, and here I am today, happy and recovering well.
The doctor and surgery center were great, and I don’t know if my doctor is on the list, but if you’re willing to travel to the eastern seaboard of the US, I am more than happy to give a recommendation.
Good luck to everyone who endeavors to have the procedure , I hope you can get what you need.
