Masters in materials science (?) at Tsinghua university

I am in a slight dilemma. I'm currently an junior physics student at a reputable non-US university, and at the same time I'm studying Chinese. I will be hopefully at HSK 5 when I'll be applying. I am thinking of eventually going into the USA.

Since I'm also learning Chinese, I thought it would be a good idea to first get a masters degree in Tsinghua (with the Chinese students there), better my Chinese, then either directly start working in the USA, or get a PHD there (at a top-ranking university, if possible). However, I've heard that it's quite easy to 'get into' Tsinghua if you're a foreigner, and that Tsinghua isn't that well-known by companies/people, so I want to know -- will this hurt my chances in life? I know that many Chinese students from, say, Tsinghua, go abroad after their bachelor's degree -- do many stay for the masters degree? It would be great to find someone who was in a similar situation here!

Thank you for your help!
