How I would change the Season 6 pt.2 ending

I was talking about it with a friend when I realized: I wish Kwon would’ve actually killed Axle instead of himself

Hear me out, Killing off Kwon is a massive waste of his character and all his build up, Where as we don’t really need Axle anymore imo. Kwon going off the rails of the mentality Kreese instilled to him and killing somebody would’ve been the perfect way to show the dangers of the Cobra Kai mentality and what happens when it goes too far much better than Kwon killing himself like a goofball cuz he couldn’t control his anger. It honestly makes it hard to feel bad for Kwon when he literally killed himself.

And as far as Axle, maybe he didn’t have to die but at least get stabbed or something. The “mindless”/abused Karate machine sacrificing himself to protect the one person who was nice to him would just hit way harder than Kwon killing himself after failing to take things too far. That would’ve been far more tragic and just pushed the narrative of when Karate goes too far a lot better IMO.

Kwon’s story had been built up more seeing him either fully crash out or find redemption would’ve just been a lot more satisfying than Axle considering we just met him in pt.2 of season 6 and we barely know a thing about him. It just feels like a waste of time to begin Axle’s arc in pt.2 just to waste time dealin with a character we just met 4 episodes ago’s emotions in the final 5 episodes of the series. I would much rather see Sam (and the others) struggle with Axle’s death knowing he was a good guy deep down and didn’t deserve it Than the resolution for Kwon killing himself like an idiot cuz he has anger issues. I just can’t picture the fall out from such a moment going well, how can you feel bad for him when he did it to himself.

TLDR: Kwon had way more reasons to live, and Axle had more reasons to die for a satisfying narrative. Kwon killing himself on accident just seems goofy and like an unnecessary twist with only 5 episodes left.

Axle dying a sad death to show everyone the error of their ways > Kwon killing himself on accident which doesn’t really teach anybody anything.
