When to spay?
My dog is still a puppy at 13 weeks, a English cocker spaniel, but when discussing spaying with a vet, the first one said that research shows that cockers do better when spayed before first heat at around 6 months. But then in her last appointment for jabs that different vet said research shows there’s higher chance she will be incontinent if spayed before first heat.
Looking up myself it seems like there is research on both sides so which vets advice am I meant to listen to? Is there a consensus for cocker spaniels specifically? Or is this one of those things where I will just have to make a decision with pros and cons on both sides and hope I did the best thing?
Thanks
