Weird artifacting that I keep getting when opening a game launcher, application, etc

For some reason all of a sudden, I keep getting these weird artifacts on my screen that disappear when I move my mouse around it. It went away at some point but came back and is absolutely driving me nuts. It could possibly be that my GPU is starting to give out but I never experience this artifacting in games or chrome, only specific applications.

I have a ROG Zephryus G502I laptop 2020 model. If you need additional info, feel free to ask.
