GP2711 still a bad buy? Even with the latest firmware (1.05)

I have been thinking about this monitor for a while. But reading reviews, the general consensus seems to be that it suffers (a lot) from motion blur?

Is this true even if the latest firmware is applied?

If buy this monitor I will use it for reading text (working!) for the most part but of course I would like to use it for gaming as well.

Would love to hear from people who have bought it and used for a little while!
