The grind is over: it only takes one.
Finally it's my turn to post one of these haha
Just got accepted at Amazon (Fungible SDEI @ Seattle), here's my timeline:
- 10/18 - Applied
- 11/6 - Received OA
- 11/19 - Took OA
- 12/4 - Received Interview Invite
- 12/10 - Took Interview
- 1/2 - Received Offer
I followed up about my application status post-interview twice (on 12/18 and 12/30), both times getting a response telling me to wait 3-5 more business days.
How I studied:
- Mostly did Blind 75 but didn't even finish the list
- Leetcode's list for Amazon tagged
- Leetracer's Amazon tagged
- Pareto problem set (some random problem list off of YouTube, not Amazon specific)
- For behavioral practice, I wrote down 5-6 stories that were general enough that they could be molded to answer questions about any of the LPs (gotta really know these), but were also specific enough that they actually have a point. I did a face-to-face mock interview with a friend
- I definitely earned major brownie points during my interview for having good social skills (also bonded with the interviewer over something) and that made up for some pitfalls I encountered
Some stats about me:
- US Citizen
- T20 school
- CS-adjacent major
- ~3.95 GPA
- 1 previous (still ongoing) internship at a no-name company
- ~7 documented personal projects on portfolio (3 on resume)
Finally I can remove my daily leetcode reminder (for now)
