Every company in the Bay Area wants React. All of my experience is in Angular.
I moved to the Bay Area because I fell in love San Francisco and California. I have over 5 years of experience in front-end development primarily using Angular, with about a year designing and developing a product with NestJS and various AWS services. My contract was not renewed in the new year, so now I'm unfortunately on the hunt, competing with everyone here.
It seems like every company on the West Coast USA will throw your resume in the trash if you don't have the ultra-common professional React experience. How do I get through that filter? I am confident I could write React professionally within a couple weeks. I very much doubt a little React personal project is going to help. Do I just continue to apply to the jobs that want "or similar framework" experience?
