How important is a good diffuser?

Hey everyone, I had a curly hair all my life (3b-c) and for almost a month now, but I never treated it well since last month. I started to follow some rules, no dry brushing, no hard drying with towel, I started applying cream after washing my hair, etc. Anyways, I like how it is going on, but I can’t keep it consistent (I’m still learning). I wonder if anyone knows how crucial is a “good” diffuser. I got a pretty standard hair dryer (some €40 Remington) and I’m not sure if it’s any good for Curly hair. I use it on level 1 heat (level 0 is basically cold air) and I feel like it’s too hot. Am I just unexperienced or am I onto somethi g here. Please share your thoughts, thanks!
