Trek Emonda SL 5 2023 vs Specialized Roubaix Comp 2019
I absolutely love my 2019 Roubaix Comp—it’s been an incredible ride. But today, while browsing my local bike shop, I spotted a brand-new 2023 Trek Emonda SL 5 on sale for a whopping 40% off. It’s so tempting!
I’m curious, though—how does the riding experience of the Emonda compare to the Roubaix? Are they similar, or would it feel like a completely different beast?
One of the Trek staff mentioned that the Emonda line might be discontinued, which is why they’re clearing out stock. Does that mean the geometry or design is considered outdated, or is it still a solid choice that I’d love for years to come?
I’d really appreciate any insights, advice, or experiences you might have. Thanks in advance for helping me navigate this decision!
