Things they don't tell you about being a parent
There's tons of advice for new parents out there but I can think of two things I wish people had told me (my kid is now 4, for reference)
Potty training can be worse than the diaper days if your child can't or won't buy into the concept.
Having family in the area willing to babysit is insanely underrated. Lots of movies coming out that I'd love to see in theaters without paying the $100 babysitter tax.
