getting the ick from his texts

i (23F) met this guy (24M) on tinder and we have sooo much in common and he’s great in person but his texts are really giving me the ick lately. we’ve been talking since late december (it’s now mid january) and he says things like “super cozy vibes!” (always lots of exclamation marks), talking about wanting to cuddle me and be all cozy, (he repeats a lot of the same phrases to the point where i’m super aware of it and rolling my eyes) he is always saying comfy and cozy. i think im too old to be talking like this honestly and it was cute at first but how do i tell him to stop? it’s really giving me the ick. i just want him to talk to me casually and not like idk, a baby? a child?

he also keeps saying things like “my cat says hi!” “say hi to your dog for me!” “tell your cat i want to give her pets and cuddles” once again i feel like im not having a mature conversation. he can say it sometimes, but he says it ALL the time. ugh he’s so nice but this is just turning me off.

moral of the story, how do i talk to him about this? is this something someone can even change? his love language is definitely words of affirmation and mine isn’t when it’s this early in the relationship…help!

*let me add that we live like 45 min from each other and rely on texting to get to know each other so now i really only know him based on his texts. i see him like once a week.
