10 hour 1st life gone to Gas Bomb

I’ve had DayZ in my library for a while and I finally got around to playing it.

I put 10 hours into my first life over the past few days (which I personally felt like it was a long time). I watched YouTube videos at the same time to learn the game.

I finally get my first kill after 10 hours and get decent loot, all to just die by a random gas bomb in Gorka while I was filling up my water bottle. The pain I felt as I could do nothing to cure the gas poisoning :(

I respawn to a spawn point close enough to make my mad dash to where I died all to find my body despawned :/
