How serious is COVID in 2025?
My dad was diagnosed with Lewy Body this year and I would put him at stage 5 of the generic dementia/alz stages. Although with LBD, there are lot more hallucinations and delusions. Due to some the extreme fluctuations and other issues, we have moved him into memory care in November.
Dad tested positive for COVID this morning, and I am honestly not surprised because his hallucinations have been in hyperdrive this week and he doesn't have a UTI.
My question is, how serious is COVID nowadays? The memory care nurse that called me didn't seem too alarmed so I am inclined to think it is not as serious as the 2020 strains. However, I don't know if I should prepare for a hospital visit.
