Unpopular opinion: Adelita's is not good
Went there not long after moving here a couple years ago based off recommendations in this sub and word of mouth. I seriously wonder what all the hype is. To me, seems like your typical run of the mill Americanized Mexican restaurant/bar, truly nothing special about it. The vibes were pretty good, but it CERTAINLY is not the best Mexican food in this city as many say it is.
Went with a date and we ordered chips and dip sampler (queso and 2 types of salsa, IIRC), I had 3 tacos and she had a smothered veggie burrito. First red flag for me was that a lime wedge was not served with the tacos. One of the salsas was pretty good I remember, but everything else was as mid as mid gets.
I recently did a taco crawl down Federal. Just drove down the street and stopped by 4 random spots that caught the eye. Even the worst of those places had much better tacos than Adelita's.
I don't care, bring on the downvotes. It had to be said.
