Anyone else struggle through this part of Dragon Ball

For most of OG Dragon Ball I didn’t struggle much to watch through it, and by the 22nd wt I found my watching pace lined up with how fast I usually get through dragon ball, but the red ribbon arc (episodes 29-67) was such a chore. The pace was terrible and I couldn’t be the only one, it got to the point I started reading the manga for some portions. And cut all filler from my viewing experience. I don’t think I’m the only one who went through this either. This is far worse than Frieza Vs Goku or anything during the dragged out Frieza portion of the arc. Can anyone else relate or know why it’s like this?
