Moving from London to Dubai. Looking to buy a property. AED 2M budget. Any suggestions?

Hello Dubai!

My wife and I are fed up of London, and are moving to Dubai towards the end of the year.

We are looking to purchase a townhouse or villa and have a budget of AED 2 - 2.5m.

We do not need to be central as we work from home. We are looking for a nice community that is quiet and allows us to go for daily walks and runs. Ideally we want a stand-a-lone villa but I know the budget is probably not high enough for that. In that case, we are looking for a semi detached townhouse (corner unit).

I know about the main communities such as Dubai Hills, Arabian Ranches, DAMAC Hills etc so I am looking for some more specialised, local knowledge of where the other good communities are.

We are lucky to be cash buyers so we can move quite quickly. Also curious to hear the communities experience with cash purchases - what sort of discount can you typically get?
