Need Advice on Unfair Maintenance Charges for Pre-Existing Issues
Hey everyone,
I recently moved into an Azizi apartment in Dubai on November 7th and have been in a frustrating situation.
The building’s maintenance team claims that water leakage from my unit is affecting the apartment below mine. They sent me a proposal to fix it, asking for AED 488.79, even though the issue existed long before I moved in.
Security showed me photos of the problem, which existed well before my occupancy. It also doesn’t originate from anything I’ve done or any changes I’ve made.
Honestly, it feels unfair, almost like they’re trying to shift blame and squeeze money out of me.
Has anyone faced a similar situation? What would you recommend doing here?
