Is this game just not for me…?

I thoroughly enjoy grand design and planning things out and organizing a beautiful base, assigning tasks and keeping everyone occupied.

But dear fucking god every time I try to start this game I hit something in an enormous blueprint, that just absolutely fucks the entire design up. Typically after it’s half dug out. And it just destroys any desire I have to continue, because the entire reason I was digging, was to make rooms. Which I now can’t. And I just close the game frustrated.

How exactly are you supposed to build a base, other than two goddamn squares at a time if every time you try to build the beginnings of a floor 2-3 layers underground you either hit the fucking caverns on a brand new base with no anything set up, or an aquifer which just floods the shit you’d already dug.

I want to like the game but it just keeps not being enjoyable.
