Sidechain Compression Lookahead?

Hello, I've got a question regarding sidechain compression. I've sidechained a delayed/verbed vocal to the dry vocal but I don't like how sudden it swells in after the compression stops. I've played around with the attack/release settings but I would like the sidechained vocals to slowly start swelling in before the dry vocal dips below the threshold, like some sort of lookahead.
