What "kind" of autism did you get?
I got the "sounds" version of autism. I play classical violin (grade 8) as my main, and any other instrument I can get my hands on; so tin whistle, mandolin, Cello, viola, guitar, keyboard and drums and I can play at least 3 tunes on all of em. Keyboard is easiest because it's like writing out equations for music theory on the black n white of it all.
I can also get around as a tourist in 5 other languages other than English, being able to ask for directions, ask if they speak any of the languages I do (though mostly asking for English tbf) asking where the toilet is, how much things cost, etc. I speak English (native), Swedish, Japanese, Italian, German, and French. Can I reas these languages? Just barely, but nowhere near as well as I speak/understand verbally.
Unfortunately this cool shit must have a drawback, and mine is painful... literally. I can't be in the same room as the kettle or washing machine while they're on, it hurts like hell. Cars going past outside? Pain. Roadworks? Pain. God help me I'd I leave the house without my noise cancelling headphones, I'm pretty sure I'd die. Even with them on I can hear perfectly fine. I have extremely sensitive hearing... and yet I grew up in orchestra just fine. It makes no damn sense.
What kind of autism did you get? What are the positives and negatives of your experiences?
