Is this collision?

So a few players in the league I run are complaining about the finals. It's a two week final. The original payout was 80 for second and 160 for first. Last week my opponent had Jalen Hurts who we all know got injured hella early. Long story short I ended up winning week 1 and was up by 22 points. He also had Ken Walker who is injured and James Connor who is injured. Instead of playing out the last week my opponent and I decided to split the pot 100-140 and just call it quits as my opponent had a 34 percent chance to win. Other players who aren't even in contention for anything are now complaining about us splitting the pot. Is this somehow unfair? I mean they have nothing to play for anymore and I offered him a fair cash out that we both agreed to.
